Food - Just be grateful for what you're blessed - ref Malaysiakini
I am touching only on food. Teresa on the very instance should be grateful that she was released and able to have edible food for consumption. Look around her from a smaller radius to a bigger one there are huge number of people who don't even have regular meals and a lot more are starving and even death due to starvation.
She is just lucky to still have good food and enjoy a comfortable life but sometime luck is not always be with you and when such day call at your door step nothing can be done.
Food is something sensitive just like race and religion. Always have a second thought before unpleasant comment is made about food. Go anywhere in the world no one person has the same taste as another. To be grateful one should observe the true fasting of Ramadhan.
A good leader should be sensitive to her surroundings and never expect a respect, "EARN YOUR RESPECT ".Let us ponder together are we all truly grateful though no one human being can have everything ???

Muhyiddin: Anwar uses my name to woo MPs - at Malaysiakini
Extractions from Malaysiakini.
" Umno vice-president Muhyiddin Yassin today blasted Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim for his psychological war against Barisan Nasional in the bid to topple the government.
He also revealed that former Umno strongman Anwar was using his (Muhyiddin's) name to entice other BN parliamentarians to join the Pakatan Rakyat alliance."
"Why is he so obsessed with taking over power that is legitimate. Why does he want to form a government through an undemocratic way," asked the minister, adding that he has faith in BN MPs who have pledged their loyalty to the ruling coalition.
"We should hold on to the pledge - (the defection) is fake, false and untrue," he said."
Why Anwar Ibrahim is so impatient?
1. He has to, there is a pending case against him.
2. DNA ACT will be debated soon and he require a majority to stop the go.
3. The urge to fulfill his personal ambition of becoming a PM is burning hot.
4. He is 61 if to wait for GE13 he will be 66 and if he succeed he has only one term and the most two. Again if the voters by then swing back to BN, than he will only be dreaming.

Anwar: We're ready to form new gov't - posted by Malaysiakini
My opinion to Anwar Ibrahim, stop this rhetoric and be realistic. What is realistic now ?
1.Your are the representative of Permatang Pauh constituency.
2. Safeguard the well being of your constituents, that is the onus of your election.
3. Clear your pending indictment then will god willing rule the country will clear conscience.
4. Prove the 5 states under PR are better govern, 6 months of rule is very short to access.
5. Name the numbers and stop having the rakyat a wrong perception about their elected representative, not all rakyat appreciate PR.
6. GE12 has gone, PR failed this is the reality so be real, democratic and work harder and proff
that PR is worthwhile to be voted for the next government. Receive it but do not rob it. The same as earn your respect but don't demand it.

Police defend ISA arrests posted by null at Malaysiakini
"After carefully assessing the situation, the police had no choice but to act swiftly to prevent the situation from getting out of control," he added.
The deputy police chief also noted that an arrest is made under the ISA only when the police strongly believe that these acts can pose a serious threat to public order." - Extraction as posted by Malaysiakini.
UNCONVINCINGLY FEEBLE
I will try to understand them, be grateful for their sacrifices, appreciate the contributions and will be critical for a better Royal Malaysian Police and above all the peace and harmony of this country.
Let us try to determine the nature or condition of the police force.
The force has the allegiance to their employer to fulfill i.e. the government. On the other hand they are legally and morally bound by their oaths to uphold the laws of the land. Thirdly their obligations to the tax-payers and last but not least to their conscience.
The above 4 obligations, which of the 4 they need to choose or which combination of the 4 or all the obligations? The choice is the dilemma.
What is best the force should do during this trying time, they must be absolutely sure of their actions though their proactive actions helped. This I believed their contention. On the other hand the authority need also to look at the perspective of other interested party or parties.
Who is actually the boss? The government or the rakyat. This is the line that need to be drawn.
Generally for the layman understanding, it should be looked at at this perspective.
1. Rakyat isthe boss of the government.(democracy perspective)
2. The government is the boss of all civil servants.
3. All civil servants includes the army(though it has its own commission) the allegiance is to the government.
4. Judiciary will act as arbitrator on any dispute.
I hope whatever actions or enforcement being carried out by the Police Force do it in good faith as the functions are so venerable. Be firmed but respectful, advise those who need them, But more professional and serve the country righteously.
Muhyiddin says not quitting /Law Minister Zaid 'tenders resignation'/ Syed Hamid's U-turn on ISA arrests - Malaysiakini
Extractions quoted from Malaysiakini post.
" International Trade and Industry Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said today he has no plans to bow to the requests of his cabinet colleague and resign as they have demanded."
" De facto law minister Zaid Ibrahim, who today tendered his resignation in protest against the arrests of three people under the Internal Security Act last week, was among those who asked Muhyiddin to resign if he was unhappy with Abdullah."
“I am a minister. I am a politician. If I start to interfere, then people will say I have a political motive. It will send the wrong signal. I cannot interfere. This has to be done in accordance with the police exercise of their powers,” he had said."
" Technically, the police are empowered to detain a person under the ISA for the initial 60-day period. The subsequent two-year detention order must be signed by the home minister.
The police force, nevertheless, comes under the jurisdiction of Syed Hamid as the home minister."
Disputing who should take the lead, let us have a general examination the the above personalities.
Tan Sri Muhyidin Yassin :
a. A senior member in the ruling party of UMNO and holding 3rd position in the hierachy.
b. An elected representative and a senior cabinet member in AAB administration.
c. Lately quite vocal on the current situation including money politics in UMNO.
d. Perceived to command reasonable supporters in UMNO.
Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar :
a. A senior member and a Supreme Council member.
b. An elected representative and a senior cabinet member in AAB administration.
c. Deem weak in his tasks as Home Affairs Minister and be more accountable to all agencies under the ministry.
Datuk Zaid Ibrahim :
a. A controversial UMNO member and was once suspended and currently does not hold any post at any level in UMNO.
b. An appointed Senator and was appointed a Minister in the Prime Minister Department overseeing the legal portfolio.
c. Seems outspoken on selected issues.
Referring to the above who MUST actually quit? They are all only subordinates to the administration so the questions to the above question are as follows:
i. Who should control them?
ii. Are their actions tantamount to indisciplined?
iii. Do all these polemics, demeaned the integrity of the government?
iv. Who should be responsible for all these actions and what contribute the outburst?
So, who must actually quit????

Parents allowed to visit Kok - posted by Malaysiakini
Reading the news at Malaysiakini, that Teresa was allowed visitors is some changes the government has looked into when earlier the counsel was refused.
Nevertheless, the change of mood by the government perceived more humane but the melancholy of one family will never be overcome. The wishes of a dying daughter to see his father detained under ISA was not taken seriously and when it was too late the request was only granted.
1. What can this attitude be summed-up?
2. Is it because Teresa is a politician and attained numerous sympathisers and protests?
3. What happen to those nobody will they rot just like that?
4. Are we really a caring Malaysian?
Though the Malaysian reactions are perceived more caring but all of us owe an apology to the dying girl which has left us (god bless her soul)with the uncaring and don't enough consciousness. My humble apologies and regrets for my sins extended to the parents for not doing enough.
This issue was raised because ISA is the current popular subject since 08 March 2008.

PM gets shelling for crackdown - posted by Malaysiakini
"Abdullah, a career civil servant, is now facing calls from within his own Umno party to step down as well as a looming challenge from opposition icon Anwar Ibrahim, who has promised voters to form a new government by Sept 16."
"Why then is this poor 33-year-old girl being detained under the most draconian of laws in Malaysia where she cannot even claim trial? It is blatant discrimination that the man who made seditious statements still walks free while the person who reported him is disproportionately and inappropriately punished," said MCA leader Chua Jui Meng."
"I have spoken to the prime minister on the phone today urging him to request Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar to immediately release her," said S Samy Vellu, MIC president."
"Every time someone is arrested under the Internal Security Act, it gives rise to a perception that the government is unable to charge and convict the person under existing laws, said Human Resources Minister Dr S Subramaniam."
"Shabery, who expressed gratefulness over the release of Tan, said the action clearly reflected that ISA detention was not a long-term punishment and was only to deter people from making statements that could jeopardise national security."
"De facto Law Minister Zaid Ibrahim today threatened to resign if the government continues to use the Internal Security Act, which allows detention without trial, against any individuals."
The above statements were quoted from Malaysiakini news.
May be PR first failure on the moves of "no confidence" shed some light above? If PR is really serious about the issue, this is the right time to lobby for supports. Let me remind the PR members doing this one must not be hasty, you politicians must take one step at a time and
DO NOT BE OVER AMBITIOUS.
What the rakyat wished are:
1. To have a stable Malaysia, may it be in politics, economy, nation interaction, education etc, etc.
2. A sound, firm leadership with a firm subordinates to support the leadership for all the well being of the rakyat.
3. The rakyat needs a leader with visions and productive but not a leader who wish to outdo his predecessors.
Looking at the current trend and the above quotes statements, I feel this is the right time to make a second try, from here the rakyat can have a better yardstick to gauge the sincerity of the leaders, especially those from the government supporters.
In doing so, PR must not do it with the intetion to rule as yet, but to rectify the flaws of the current leadership. I am optimistic the rakyat knows how to evaluate who actually has the rakyat in their heart. They are now more matured and analytical than some leaders think.

Law minister threatens to quit over ISA - posted by Malaysiakini
1. Just after his appointment as Law Minister he first action was to restore the dignity of the former Lord President Tun Salleh Abas and the 5 judges and influence AAB to part some amount of ex-gratia to them. He was applauded by Bar Council on his efforts to restore the dignity and credibility of the judiciary. But after the much publicised event nothing further to the improvement
of the judiciary was heard.
2. When the then Opposition leader Datuk Seri wan Azizah launched a campaign on anti-ISA at Parliament I did not see this impartial Law Minister come forward to support it or at least to pin the badge distributed. Why now he is voicing a different tone.
a. Any hidden agenda?
b. Is he loosing his grips in UMNO as reported he cannot even easily secure a sound nomination to contest as branch chairman in his own former branch in Kota Bharu?
c. Was he been told to lay off, when he asked Tan Sri Muhyidin to resign or face sacking by AAB?
I am sorry to highlight this, since he was only an appointed Senator, and was been given a chance to be appointed as a Law Minister just because of his law background, he should reliquish his ministerial post and make his stand, that would be more dignified rather trying to gain his heroism by stepping on someone else's toes in the same cabinet he is in. Just like the malay proverb says : "Ludah ke langit jatuh kemuka sendiri."
Comtemplate on this and stop confusing everybody.

ANY DIFFERENCE ???
A plea for dialogue and free speech posted by Azril Mohd Amin at Malaysiakini
There are many more news at www.malaysiakini.com with regards to the ISA arrest. Just like to share with all readers on the understanding of the arrest made under ISA.
The arrest on the three personalities under ISA are no different from the arrest of all seizable offences under the Penal Code as far as further investigation is concern.
The arrest under ISA the provision allows the temporary detention for the purpose of further investigation up to 60 days whilst under Penal Code the detention derived from Criminal Procedure Code with a maximum of 14 days.
The prerogative which law to use lies with the authority concern but at the end of the day once the legal right to detain expires the arrestees must be released otherwise risking the act of habeas corpus and litigation can be filed against the authoroty. In fact the interested party or parties can already initiate their litigations as of now. This is what I defined as rights and freedom within the ambits of law.
So, for the sake of love, peace and harmony act wisely and intelligently. Again I urged the Malaysian knows your rights and the people you support and their hidden agendas, never allow yourself be misled due to your ignorance.
For Malaysia!!!!

US summons M'sian envoy posted by null at Malaysiakini
"US summons M'sian envoy |
Sep 13, 08 10:32am |
The United States summoned Friday Malaysia's top envoy in Washington to protest its crackdown on dissent at a time when the opposition was attempting to take over power in Kuala Lumpur. MCPX Ilango Karuppannan, the charge d'affaires of the Malaysian embassy, was summoned to the State Department after an opposition politician, a prominent blogger and a journalist were held under a law allowing indefinite detention without trial, a diplomatic source said. The move came amid fears in Kuala Lumpur that Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi's government was planning a larger crackdown as Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim scrambled to oust the government with parliamentary defections. "Peaceful expression of political opinions is a fundamental right and critical to a democracy," a State Department official told AFP. "The United States believes that the Malaysian government should provide due process and treatment consistent with Malaysian law and international standards," said the official, speaking on condition of anonymity. "We expect that democratic countries that purport to advocate free expression of political views will not curtail such freedom," the official said following the trio's arrest. This is the second time Ilango was summoned to the State Department in a month." Again another interference by the watchdog of Anwar Ibrahim. Part of extraction was extracted from www.malaysiakini.com. The questions are: 1.Why the anxieties too glaring? 2. Why the watchdog turned snoopy when linked to Anwar's interest? Though, the legitimate BN government has alot of issues to address on its credibility, integrity and impartiality nevertheless as an independent country, US need to respect it and without any outside influence the Malaysian must show the world of their capabilities to choose the right government of their choice. Come on Malaysian have your own stand! Don't allow your pride and dignity be challenged. Together we shall prevail!!!!! Good Luck Khairul Zaman |

Ahmad Ismail - Valourous or Timorous
Claimed by Ahmad Ismail whatever he had raised was within the context of UMNO and the party represented the majority malay members. Though he was only a division head of one branch he has the locus standi to speak out the frustration of his own race. If a malay himself is not allowed to speak up for his own ethnic who else better to do so?
Speaking up for their own ethnic group to me is natural. During TDM's tenure the issue of Sekolah Wawasan and chinese schools and the mother tongue language was also a hot topics which not only being participated by political parties but also the chinese educationist association but with a right approach and tolerance the issue was resolved amicably.
So the golden questions are:-
1. Is the punishment meted on Ahmad Ismail adequate and fair?
2. Will the act of punishing Ahmad Ismail will resolved the Malay frustrations?
3. Is the action taken against Ahmad Ismail religiously accepted by BN component parties?
4. Is Ahmad Ismail actions against the behavioural approach to social phenomena?
5. Why his actions was supported by all branches of Penang UMNO?
6. Was Ahmad Ismail more influential and competent compared to AAB?
7. Can UMNO supreme council dispel with action taken against Ahmad Ismail no new birth of Ahmad Ismail?
What I can comprehend right now, the actions taken were just to tone down the anxieties but not actually resolving it and Ahmad Ismail is the "scapegoat".
Who's incompetency actually in question? I am of the opinion these so called leaders should resolved based on the win win situation. AAB should have first restrain Ahmad Ismail from raising the issue further and not to be part of the second PC that was held by Ahmad Ismail
and simultaneously as the Chairman of BN seek practicality to soothe the affected parties to
also refrain from further aggravating the issues until a more conducive and fair decisions derived.
My only hope, every individuals who wish to be leaders gauged their capability and competency first and know and realise when to exit. Having strong support is not enough to be a "GOOD,COMPETENT and FAIR LEADER".

General - with lame or without soldiers
Looking at all situations I am skeptical of his ability.
1. 08 March 2008, he lost his home state to PR.
2. 26 August with only on parliament seat by election and with all the resources under his command he still unable to win.
3. Again all the 13 UMNO branches in his home state including his own Kepala Batas UMNO branch supported Ahmad Ismail actions despite his call to Ahmad Ismail to apologize which never happened.
4. This is one of the price of freedom and probably AAB would like to give a second thought on "HOW FREE IS FREEDOM".
5. Official reports lodged against him for abusing his UMNO presidential position by Dato' Mazlan and many more of his flip flop decisions and stands.
He is left with either the lame soldiers or soon if he prolonged, without any soldiers.
What shall be the action of AAB? Drawing the curtain down and pass the batton to someone with integrity and competency is not something coward to do if the scope is for the nation.
What I am afraid, mid 2010 may be too late to condone.

"Detik kemusnahan melayu - Ibrahim Ali
KOTA BHARU 8 Sept.
Marilah kita renungkan.
Wassalam
